Vitamin B plays a critical part in the overall function of the body. B vitamins are water-soluble, which allows the body to absorb them quickly.

Potential Benefits:

  • May increase cellular metabolism, build muscle and increase energy production.
  • May improve sleep
  • May be helpful in speeding up recovery from surgeries.
  • Improves cardiovascular health, digestion, cognition, memory, mood, appetite, and more.
  • Immune boosting
  • Helps with histamine reactions

Injections usually last about one week. Whatever your body does not utilize, it will store away for later use.  Response is usually within 48-72 hours.

thriveMD uses Methylcobalamin B12, however, if we find a patient is sensitive to this we can use Hydroxocobalamin. Many clinics give Cyanocobalamin, but beware as this actually contains small amounts of cyanide. They use this as it is a less expensive way to provide the product. Less expensive does not always mean better.

Always make sure you are getting a quality product!

Our B12 injections also contain MIC, but can be made custom without MIC if desired.

MIC

Methionine inositol choline (MIC) B12 injections contain a blend of nutrients that help your body release fatty deposits. For example, inositol stimulates fat removal by your liver, while choline prevents cholesterol buildup and deposits. Methionine, an essential amino acid, helps inositol and choline work even more efficiently.

When methionine, inositol, choline, and B12 are combined into one injection, you have a higher chance of getting rid of excess fatty deposits throughout your body.

Choline: Metabolizes fat. Deficiency of Choline can lead to Cirrhosis and fatty degeneration of the liver and hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis). It is being used today for ailments such as gall bladder trouble, diabetes, Muscular Dystrophy, Glaucoma, senility and memory problems (forgetfulness). Choline detoxifies amines that are the by-products of protein metabolism.

Inositol: Deficiency of Inositol can lead to hair loss. It works with Vitamin E to facilitate its actions in the treatment of Muscular Dystrophy. It is used in nerve and muscle disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy. Caffeine may cause depletion of Inositol.

Methionine: It works with Choline to detoxify amines which are the by-products of protein metabolism. It acts as a catalyst for Choline and Inositol, opening up their function. Along with Choline it aids in reducing liver fat and protects the compound it benefits.

Choline & Inositol are co-enzymes that are required for the proper metabolism of fats, and have the ability to remove fat from the liver. Choline works well with inositol to utilize fats and cholesterol. The body can produce choline, with the help of vitamin B12, folic acid and methionine.

Vitamin D3

$50 per injection

Many people are low in Vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is actually a hormone rather than a vitamin: it is required to absorb calcium from the gut into the bloodstream. If a person suffers from gut dysbiosis, they may not be able to absorb Vitamin D3 effectively. Since 80% of the immune system lies in the gut, dysregulation of the gut and malabsorption of Vitamin D3 can have a huge effect on a patient’s immune response to diseases, viruses and bacteria. Making sure the gut is balanced is of utmost importance.

Vitamin D3 is also produced in the skin in response to sunlight and is also absorbed from eaten food (about 10% is absorbed that way) as part of a healthy balanced diet. The liver and the kidneys convert Vitamin D3 (produced in the skin and taken up in the diet) into the active hormone, which is called calciferol. Vitamin D3 helps to increase the amount of calcium the gut can absorb from eaten food into the bloodstream and also prevents calcium loss from the kidneys. Vitamin D3 modifies the activity of the bone cells and is important for the formation of new bone in children and adults.

Many studies have shown Vitamin D3 can be not only immune protective but cancer protective when levels are between 70-90.  Vitamin D3 is a regulator of other functions in the body: lack of Vitamin D3 is linked to the inability to fight infections effectively, muscle weakness, fatigue and the development of diabetes, certain cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke.

Even if you receive Vitamin D3 injections it is important to support Vitamin D with an oral supplement also. Levels should be determined by blood levels of Vitamin D3. Have your levels checked before getting injections and remeasure in 1-2 months to make sure your levels are optimal. Optimal levels are between 70-90.

Lipovite Injections:

- B12/MIC, Vitamin C, B-complex

Lipotropic agents are a class of substances that play an important role in the body’s use of fat. Many substances have lipotropic properties of which choline, inositol and methionine are among the most noteworthy. Through their involvement in lipid (fat) metabolism, lipotropics help maintain a healthy liver.

1. They increase the production of lecithin by the liver. This helps to solubilize cholesterol, thus lessening cholesterol deposits in blood vessels and decreasing the choice of gallstone formation. (Gallstones are made of cholesterol)

2. They prevent the accumulation of fats in the liver. A fatty liver can cause a sluggish liver function.

3. They detoxify amine (by-products of protein metabolism). This is important for people on a high protein diet.

4. They increase resistance to disease. They bolster the thymus gland to carry out its anti-disease function by stimulating the production of antibodies. Stimulating the growth of phagocytes, which surround and gobble up invading viruses and microbes. They also recognize and destroy foreign and abnormal tissue.
